Email Inbox file corrupted

Hello, All!

My email inbox file has recently been corrupted. I use
Netscape (and have since 1998), version 7.1. I utilize
Norton Antivirus (via Norton Systemworks) which
automatically updates, and I use Zone Alarm fire wall.
While I can't swear that this has not been caused by a
virus/trojan/worm, I have received no alerts nor are there any
records of such activity in Norton.

I would like to repair this file. Please understand that
the file has not been lost or deleted. It has become
inordinately large (1,118,095 kb), and therefore, fails to
open. It contains about six weeks worth of email, and I
would like to recover this information, if possible. (It
won't be the end of the world if I can't. . . I just don't
want to lose the file to this machine! I like the challenge,
and I'll learn something, too.)

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Many Thanks!

I do not know the solution but mine did exactly the same thing on Oct 18 and
now netscape 7.2 crashes on almost anything I try to do with email.

Run Wizard (from system tools).
Before that you may delete files that you do not need, large photos and
like.

I do not understand this comment. Where is Wizard? What is the context for
saying system tools? I cannot find this menu item.

I finally gave up on 7.2 because of the crashes and loaded seamonkey
1.05. It remembered everything from Netscape and behaves almost exactly
the same except no crashes.
